Truck: 1994 Standard cab 22re 5 spd. I haven't noticed a problem with the flapper door angle....as far as the wired egr valves are concerned, when you unplug it the check engine light will come on. Easy fix just get a 10k ohm resistor from radio shack and jump the terminals in the plug.I deleted the egr when chasing down a misfire. Would of put it back but broke one of the plastic lines off the egr accuator and its like $100 for a new one. Wasn't worth it so just left it off. Can't say it made any difference in hp, response or mileage.

Not setting your 22R/22RE timing properly can lead to very poor performance, bad gas mileage and SEVERE engine damage. Don’t mess around. Once It’s up to normal operating temp, you can now set the timing with a timing light. Grab a paper clip and straighten it out and then bend it to a “U” shape.
